   Monkhill Chapel newsletter 20th February 2021    20 February, 2021
Good evening everyone,
Another week flown by!
You will be pleased to hear that both Donald and I received our Covid jabs last Wednesday so I think all Chapel members will now be waiting for their 2nd jabs in due course.
It may be the fact that I'm now inoculated but I do feel a sense of "turning the corner" as far as this wretched virus is concerned, not that we should be complacent though. Let's hear what Government ministers have to say next week about our way out of lockdown (or otherwise) - fingers crossed or rather heads bowed in prayer.

The March Parish Magazine will be due out at the end of next week but no paper copies will be delivered again. Instead you will be able to see an on-line copy at www.eastsolwaychurches.org under Church Life and scroll down or go to the Parish website www.beaumont-pc.org.uk and while having a look at all the information there, go to Useful Links and scroll down to the link to the East Solway Churches website.

Hope you are still joining in or listening to our North Cumbria Methodist Circuit services so you are up to date with weekly events especially during Lent. You can also get this information on the Circuit website or facebook page.

Nothing else to report this week, but I thought you may be interested in the following posted on the facebook page by David Newlove. It's 20 years since Foot and Mouth devastated livestock farms as I'm sure you'll have heard in the media this week;

20 years on we remember

The enforced isolation
The loss of flock and herd
The grief in the destruction of healthy stock

20 years on we remember

And hold silence
At the unspoken memories
And as the raw pain returns

20 years on we remember

Reflecting on the change it brought
To farm, family and community
And in the isolation of today
When we suffer the loss this hidden virus brings
And we cannot meet and cannot mix

We remember and ask God to hold us again
AMEN

Also remember God is with us
Hands, Face, Space, Grace

Good night,
Lynne
