Monkhill Chapel News Saturday 27 June    27 June, 2020
Dear All,
Hope you are all keeping well and have survived the extreme heat that we experienced mid-week.

Was just wondering a few days ago about what to include in this weekly news sheet, when I received a phone call from Operation Christmas Child about this year's Shoebox appeal which is planned to go ahead appropriately. I was able to confirm our willingness to be a drop-off point again, all being well and awaiting further guidance from the Methodist Conference. They have included a link to a craft page of items that can be handmade and included in the boxes this year. You could perhaps share this with others you know would be interested.

We are being asked locally and also in the Circuit to give some thought as to how we, as Church, can connect with our Communities post-lockdown and
help families and individuals who have been affected by the pandemic and resulting aftermath. This could be coping with the loss of loved ones, illness,
mental health, loneliness, job losses, financial worries etc. Please can we all give some thought and pray-time to this and it would be wonderful if we could
come up with some suggestions.

Many thanks and keep safe and well,
Lynne
